About Me	First off, if you want to get in contact with me, email at andrew.brick@gmail.com, as I refuse to pay for any additional services of this website. After graduating, I took a Naval ROTC scholarship to the University of Washington. During college, I ventured around with the Navy a bit, going to Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. I graduated in June 2000 with a BA in Russian Studies (short version), Cum Laude, with College Honors. I was commissioned into the Navy the day before graduation. After teaching sailing for the summer at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, I went to Japan for three months of temporary duty on USS VINCENNES (CG 49). I then spent six months in Newport, RI for school, after which I went back to the VINCENNES in Japan where I worked as Damage Control Assistant. 9/11 happened while I was there, and I participated in the GWOT, round 1. During my two years in Japan, I was able to visit China, Thailand (again), Malaysia (again), Singapore (again), Indonesia (Bali rocks), and Brunei. I left Japan in April 2003 and went to Everett, WA to be the Navigator on USS SHOUP (DDG 86). While there, I transferred from the Surface Warfare Community to the Intelligence Community. I left Everett in August 2004 and went to Virginia Beach, VA for intel school. I graduated in February 2005, took a couple of weeks to explore Russia, and then went to Molesworth, England (60 miles north of London) to work at the Joint Analysis Center. I've been doing political analysis for the Middle East and North Africa since I arrived, and I should be here until the end of 2007. I've been able to get around Europe a bit - Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Scotland, Ireland - but I hope to do more in the next ...(read more)
