About Augie Charles Devenere Obituary
AUGUST DEVENERE, 50 August Charles “Augie” Devenere, age 50, of Coeur d’Alene died June 14, 2003. He was born October 17, 1952 in Spokane, WA. He grew up and graduated from high school in Spokane, and then graduated from Eastern Washington University. He moved to Tacoma where he worked as a cameraman for King 5 news. He returned to Spokane and was working for Abacus when he met his future wife, Wendy McKay. Augie relocated to Coeur d’Alene and began working for Imagistics. He taught skiing for ten years, was a member of the Hayden Chamber of Commerce, the Eagles Lodge, a PSIA member, and was president of the Hayden Lake Rotary. Augie enjoyed snow skiing and mountain biking with his friend Barry Feeley, and he never left home without his camera. Augie frequently volunteered in the community with a happy-go-lucky attitude and a smile on his face. He loved cooking, computers, photography, and helping others. All who knew him appreciated his charismatic personality and love of people. The void that his death has left will be felt deeply by all. Augie is survived by his wife, Wendy at home; sons, Gus of Salem, OR and Anthony of Farmington, IN; a daughter, Annamarie of Farmington, IN; stepchildren, Tarah and Tracy; his parents, Michael and Ann Devenere of Spokane, WA; a brother, Michael J. Devenere of Spokane, WA; sisters, Michelle Albrecht of Newman Lake, WA and Mary Holmes of Spokane, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 P.M. at the Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel. A memorial service celebrating his life will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Coeur d’Alene Church of the Nazarene. The family prefers memorials to the Hayden Lake Rotary Club, P.O. Box 115, Hayden, ID 83835.

I miss you Augie!: Goodbye to you, my trusted friend. We've known each other since we were nine or ten. Together we've climbed hills and trees, Learned of love and ABC's, Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees. Goodbye my friend, it's hard to die, When all the birds are singing in the sky. Now that the spring is in the air, Pretty girls are everywhere. Think of me and I'll be there. We had joy, we had fun. We had seasons in the sun
