Army, 20 Years
I entered the Army in Feb of 2001 as an Ammunition Specialist. In 2007, I commissioned and became a Human Resources Officer. During my time in service I deployed twice to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan for a total of four deployments. I served at multiple duty stations including Camp Humphrey's, S. Korea; Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; Ft. Wainwright, Alaska and more. I am Airborne qualified and jumped out of many perfectly good planes and helicopters. I am happy to have retired in 2021 and landed in SW Florida.

Served as a Fire Direction Specialist for 155MM, M109 Self-propelled Howitzers, 1981-1983, Ft. Riley, Kansas. Left the service for a year and a half. Re-entered in April 0f 85 as a Ground Suviellance Systems Specialist. Staions include the 105th MI (Military Intelligence) Battalion, Ft. Polk, Louisiana, 103rd MI, Wurzburg, Germany, assigned to the 3rd of the 7th Cavalry at Camp Harris, Coburg, East/West Border camp, 104th MI, Ft. Carson, Colorado, 801st MI Detachment, DMZ, South Korea, 101st MI Battalion, Wurzburg Germany, assignments included a year in Bosnia and 5 months in Kosovo, and 311th MI, 18th Airborne Corp, Ft, Campbell where I retired in 2002. Currently work for the Program Manager, Aviation Systems, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama.

Captain, U.S. Navy (Retired). CAPT Posey retired in 2012 after serving over 27 years in the Navy. His aviation tours included Patrol Squadron 44, Patrol Squadron 30, Patrol Squadron 8, and was highlighted by his tour as Commanding Officer of Training Squadron 4. At sea, he served aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and the USS Enterprise (CVN-65). Ashore he served on several staffs including the Navy Personnel Command (PERS-83), the Chief of Navy Personnel (OPNAV N10), and his last tour as the Chief of Staff, Commander Anti-Submarine Warfare Western Atlantic.

In my last job I served as a lieutenant general and as the legal advisor to the Secretary of the Air Force and the Air Force Chief of Staff. We (Linda and I) retired in 2014, after 34+years of service and too many moves to count.
