Natalie Vowell

Natalie Vowell

Class of 2001

Natalie Vowell moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 2010. On January 15, 2015, she married Robert Vroman at St. Louis City Hall; their engagement was announced in the Fayetteville Flyer. They held a small ceremony on Christmas Eve 2016, photographed by fellow alumni Nick Rosser. The couple have been featured several times on the front page of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for their innovations in urban real estate and community causes.

Natalie served as a 2016 Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

On April 4th, 2017, Natalie was elected to a 4-year term on the St. Louis City Board of Education.

Natalie currently serves as the executive director of Project Raise The Roof, an organization she founded in 2013. PRTR's mission: "Project Raise The Roof works with St. Louis citizens and community leaders to prevent homelessness, end cyclical poverty, energize local economy, strengthen neighborhoods, and end the decay of St. Louis City's historic structures. Through community programs focusing on education, entrepreneurship, and home ownership opportunities, we help urban families become more sustainable, productive, and informed."

She remains dedicated to music, technology, and education, and will soon begin a volunteer position teaching music theory to at-risk teens at the Show Me Arts Academy.
