About Me	I had just one job my entire life. I started working at Hawaiian Airlines in 1961 and retired on March 22, 2022. 60 years and 7 months. I began as a baggage boy loading and unloading baggage and freight. I moved over to ticket agent, checking in passengers at the ticket counter. After a while I moved over to working on the ramp. This entailed boarding and unboarding of passengers and supervising baggage boys on loading of aircraft. In 1966, I was offered a position in the Dispatch Department. I remained their until retirement. I received my FAA Dispatcher's License in 1972. A lot of people think we work in the airport control tower. We basically share responsibility with the Captain on each flight. We brief the Captain on weather conditions, on takeoff airport, enroute, landing airport. Alternate airport in case he can't land at the destination airport. Any mechanical issues with his assigned aircraft. We monitored his entire flight from departure to arrival.
