What is Bill Bell known for?

Bill Bell, born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on December 9, 1947, was an American gridiron football placekicker known for his noteworthy career in the National Football League (NFL). Bell attended high school at Falls Church High School in Falls Church, Virginia before moving on to play college football for the Kansas Jayhawks at the University of Kansas.

After retiring from professional football, Bell made a career shift to administration and served as the Director of Buildings and Grounds in Douglas County, Kansas, a position he held since 1988, until his death on June 25, 2022, at the age of 74.
