Mark's wife (Alexis) notified me that he died of natural causes. Earlier, Mark himself told me that he was working as a house painter in Florida. I will miss him and his keen political insights.

As a student, Mark was appropriately skeptical of the political and social assumptions underlying the Falls Church High School curriculum. I imagine that he found house-painting a relatively agreeable profession because it did not require acceptance of those assumptions.
