Gene Lynn Berntson, 60, Milwaukie, Ore., died Jan. 26, 2008.
Gene was born Feb. 21, 1947, in Watford City, N.D., to Hans and Esther (Thorgramson) Berntson.
He grew up in Cartwright, N.D., and Fairview. He has lived in the Portland, Ore., area for the past 22 years. He was the owner/operator of Berntson Inc. He married Gail Gilmore in 1980.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Berntson; daughters Sandra Schobinger, Tammy Hurt, Christi Moss and Rhonda Baldwin; sons Will Pederson and Nathan Paulson; sisters Diane Castro and Elaine Lee; brothers Gary Berntson and Odin Berntson; 13 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at 2 p.m. in Milwaukie Christian Church in Milwaukie.
Note: Gene followed his brother Odin by two months.
