About Me	Wow. I spent the first four years assisting the first President Bush in the U.S. Air Force. After deciding that I was much more Boulder than Military I declined re-enlistment and came back to Colorado in 1992. I married class of 1989's Katie Julian in 1991. She introduced me to the restaurant business and I went to the University of Colorado, Denver and Metro State. Eventually the business won me over and I dropped out and immersed myself in the the biz. Kate and I opened our own gourmet food shop, The Truffle in December, 2000. We worked our tails off for six years, establishing our store as one of the finest boutique gourmet shops in the country. (Not my words, the press actually liked us!)
