About	Two Fairport Harbor women killed in Indiana crash By Staff report, The News-Herald Posted: 11/30/15, 1:54 PM EST \| Updated: on 11/30/2015 0 Two women from Fairport Harbor were killed in a single-car crash in Indiana on Nov. 29. At about 10:30 p.m., Indiana State Police troopers responded to the crash on the Indiana Toll Road near the Elkhart and St. Joseph county line, according to a news release from Indiana State Police. The eastbound 2001 Buick had gone off the south side of the road, struck a guardrail and flipped several times before coming to rest in a ditch, according to the news release. The driver, 59-year-old Linda A. Pohto, of Fairport Harbor, was trapped inside the car. The two passengers, 88-year-old Viola M. Pohto, also of Fairport, and 31-year-old Eric R. Pohto, of Denver, Colorado, were ejected from the vehicle, according to the news release. Advertisement Linda Pohto and Viola Pohto were killed in the crash, while Eric Pohto suffered severe injuries and was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital. He is expected to recover, the release stated. A witness told police that before the crash, the Buick had passed him at high speed.
