About	Memorial services for David L. Saarela Sr., 46, a lifelong resident of Fairport Harbor, will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Eagle St., Fairport Harbor. Mr. Saarela died Dec. 21, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident in Concord Township. He was born April 30, 1956, in Fairport Harbor. He was a 1974 graduate of Fairport Harding High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Saarela was a self-employed construction worker. Survivors are his son, David L. Saarela Jr. of Madison; daughter, Samantha Saarela of Madison; mother, Janet (Don) Carver of Fairport Harbor; sister, Susan Goldhardt of Fairport Harbor; niece, Kelly (Kevin) Murray of Sagamore Hills; and nephews, Scott (Tracy) Goldhardt of Perry and Damon Saarela of Mentor. He also leaves special friend of 13 years, JoAnn Vargo of Chesterland. His wife, Roberta; father, Kayo Saarela; and brother, Dennis Saarela, are deceased. The Rev. Hannu Vepsalainen of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairport Harbor will officiate at services. Arrangements are being handled by Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home in Painesville.
