About	Health, Phys. Ed, Boy's Gymnastic Coach GILBERT, B. Eugene, Age 66, of Dayton, passed away at his home on Wed. January 28, 2015, following an extended illness. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Marjorie Gilbert. Gene was an attorney in Brookville for over 20 years, and before entering into law practice, he taught in the Kettering City School District. He was a member of Brookville Lodge #596 F&AM, the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton & numerous Bar Associations. He was the current president of the Brookville Area HandiVan Ministry and a 2 time past president of the Brookville Rotary Club. Gene also served as Lay Leader at Community United Methodist Church in Brookville for many years. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Peggy; children, Jeremy (Dianne) Gilbert, Emily (Zak) Garber, Alex Gilbert; step-daughter, Amanda Murphy; 4 grandchildren; sister, Claudia (David) Gowdown; brother, Greg (Robin) Gilbert and numerous close relatives and many special friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Mon. Feb. 2 at Community United Methodist Church, located at 114 Hay Avenue in Brookville. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 2-5 PM Sun. Feb. 1 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Masonic services will begin promptly at 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family will also receive guests on Monday at the church from 10-11 AM.
