| About Me | I taught in Kettering for 35 years, mostly as a secondary English teacher and a middle school and high school counselor. I coached several sports, most notably baseball and football, and I was the p.a. announcer for boys basketball games at Fairmont East and Kettering Fairmont for over 30 years after taking over for the legendary Ken Durst. I retired from Kettering in 2011 and I’ve been a counselor at St. Anthony Catholic School in east Dayton (kindergarten through eight grade) since fall of 2011. I was also a realtor around the Dayton area for 23 years before retiring in 2018. I married my wife Carole, also an East grad and currently an elementary p.e. teacher in Kettering, in 1988.
