Coast Guard, 20+ Years
Jim retired from the Coast Guard after 28-years initially specializing in weapons systems then grew into staff functions with a focus on congressional relations, policy development, budget formulation, as well as operations both afloat and ashore including command. Jim rose through the ranks from enlisted, to warrant officer, to commissioned officer after graduating from the Coast Guard’s Officer Candidate School. Jim’s final Coast Guard assignment was as liaison to the US Congress. One of Jim’s most notable assignments was commanding the largest and busiest multi-mission Coast Guard station, Miami Beach, FL.

Our Fairhaven High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
