Marcene was born on November 9, 1945, in Fairfield to Ivyl Ferrel and Wilda Huffman. She graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1964. Marcene lived most of her life in Fairfield. In 2013, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to live with her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter.
Marcene enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, eating out, shopping, and spending time with her family, which often included playing board games, working on puzzles, and coloring with her granddaughter. She also enjoyed traveling, which most recently included trips to Disneyland, SeaWorld, the Grand Canyon, and the ocean.
Marcene is survived by her daughter: Tina (Bill) Solomon of Phoenix, Arizona, and her beloved granddaughter, Addison Solomon; one brother Vic (Karla) Ferrel of Fairfield, Iowa and 9 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivyl and Wilda Ferrel, two brothers, Paul Ferrel and Phil (RoseAnn) Ferrel, and her beloved son, Mark Campbell.
