Glenda Kay Egli, 68 of Columbus Junction, died Friday, Oct 3, 2014, at Washington County Hospital.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at FCOC in Mt Pleasant. The Rev. Monte Kundsen will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Crawfordsville Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 7:30 p.m., at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, where the family will meet with friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memorials have been established for FCOC memorial and Jordan Smith missions.
She was born January 12, 1946, at Ottumwa. She was the daughter of Glendon and Lucile (Lewis) Hining. On April 16, 1966, she, married Darrell Egli at Fairfield. She was a graduate of the Fairfield High School and AIB in Davenport.
She worked as a secretary for the Superintendent at WACO school and as a secretary for C&J Fertilizer. She also worked with her husband on the family farm. She was a member of Faith Christian Outreach Church.
Survivors include her husband; one son Jason Egli of Cedar Falls; one daughter, Jennifer Batty of Mt Pleasant and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
