Marine Corps, 20+ Years
First summer trip after High School: Vietnam, then back to Camp Pendleton and on and on until retiring in 1994. Meet some amazing people and still try to keep in touch with as many FHS "kids" as I can. Miss most of all my old gang members; Larry Bond (RIP), Wayne Vig; Greg Usery (RIP) and Juke Webster. Saw Wayne for the first time in 20 + years in the summer of 2015, he hadn't changed a bit. I miss most of all some of my teachers; Mr. Scott; Mr. Bushey; Mr. Iverson; and my wood Shop Teacher. Don't even know if they are all still alive, I hope so and maybe one day...

Went to Marine Corps Bootcamp right after our Senior trip. I have deployed numerous times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The years go by fast and I will be retiring in 2013. I am currently a Gunnery Sergeant stationed in Okinawa Japan.

Tony Rose, retired from the military after 22 years of active service. He has served three tours to the Persian Gulf and Iraq. His awards earned are the Bronze Star, MSM(2), ARCOM(6),AAM(7), National Defense Ribbon, War on Terriosm, Airborne Badge, Presidental Unit Citation, Overseas ribbon just to name a few. Tony is a retired 1SG from the military.

I retired in 2003 after 29 years of service as a Sergeant Major in the Infantry. My highlights included serving in 13 different units in Korea, Germany and the United States along with a combat tour as a First Sergeant in 2/5 Cavalry during Desert Storm in Iraq and Kuwait. I enjoyed my last eight years of service working as the senior military instructor at Southeast Missouri State University and North Georgia University.

Joined the Air Force after graduation. First duty station was Aviano, Italy. Served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Now stationed at Nellis Air Force Base with wife Sara Salmeri who also is in the Air Force.
