About Judith Ann Arntt was born on March 18, 1941, to Chauncey and Ester Johnson Mickelsen in Fairbury, Nebraska. She died June 14, 2006 at the Ambassador in Lincoln.
She attended elementary and high school in Fairbury, graduating in 1959. She was a member of the baton squad in high school. She graduated from Fairbury Jr. College in 1951. She worked at the Fairbury State Bank while attending college.
On June 10, 1951, she married Elville Arntt. To this union two sons were born.
She was a stay at home mom for the years while the boys were young. In 1970 she went to work at Endicott Clay Products as the office manager and did so until August 2003.
She was an avid race fan, both Nascar and local. She was a supporter of her son, Tracy and grandsons, Bill and Nate’s racing careers. She was a member of the Steele City Presbyterian Church and bookkeeper for the Steele City/Endicott volunteer fire department.
Survivors include husband; sons, Tracy and his wife, Vickie of Endicott and Russell and his wife, Brenda, of Marysville, Kan.; brother, Philip Mickelsen and his wife, Terri, of Humansville, MO.; grandchildren, William Canham and his wife, Jennifer, of Norfolk, Nathan Canham and his wife, Heidi , of Deshler, Alyssa Arntt and friend, Logan, of Endicott, Joshua Arntt, Ashley Arntt, Alex Arntt and Jason Arntt, all of Marysville; great-grandchildren, Chase Nelson and John Canham of Norfolk and Madison Sherwood of Endicott.
Services were June 19 at the Steele City Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Don Canady officiating. Music was provided by Mary Johnson and Mary Cassel. Pallbearers were Marvin Dewey, William Scheele, Jerry Clay, Mike Clay, Paul Huss and Willis Bleich. Honorary pallbearers were Stan Judd, Roger Judd, Bill Canham and Chase Nelson. Burial was in the Fairbury Cemetery, Fairbury, Nebraska.
