About Me	I never imagined my life to be like it is now. I'm adjusting, have different priorities and perspectives on life - everything happens for a reason, that reason may just take a long time to see. In Oct 2008 I was diagnosed with Giant Cell Myocarditis (google it). Dec 2008 I went into Cardiac Arrest. They were not able to stabilize me so I was hooked up to an ECMO machine and put into a hypothermic coma to save my brain. My heart didn't beat for 4 days while the machine kept me alive. The 5th day my heart started beating and 5 days later I woke up from my coma. The doctors told my family I had MAYBE a 1% chance of waking up and a smaller chance that IF I woke up to not have any brain damage. Well....I woke up and do not suffer from any brain damage. When I did wake up I suffered from complete muscle atrophy. Almost 2 years later I am able to walk again. I will be on a lot of meds for the rest of my life.
