About	William S. Tharp III, 79, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Sept. 4, 2018, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Ewing, NJ, on Feb. 25, 1939. He was married to Shirley (Green) Tharp for 59 years. Bill worked for Western Electric/ Bell Telephone as a supervisor and retired in 1994. He enjoyed photography, camping, golfing, coaching sports, car racing and spending time with his family. Bill loved their many camping and Walt Disney vacations. Bill was a life member of the Pennington Road Fire Company. He was the founder of The Villages Quoits Club and The Red Dot Duffers. Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley; his loving children, Cindy Hutchinson, Linda (Stephen) Schmierer, William (Kathy) Tharp Sr., Christopher (Kelley) Tharp; loving grandchildren, Walter Hutchinson, Heather (Aaron) Capone, Emily (Michael Casey) Hutchinson, Rebekah and Melissa Schmierer, Billy (Jessica) Tharp Jr., Payton, Hunter and Henry Tharp; and precious great-grandchildren, Liam and Margaret Casey; brothers, Robert (Charlene) Tharp Sr. and Dave (Sharon) Tharp, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Helen and William Tharp Jr. and brother-in-law Gilbert Green. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Sq., NJ 08690. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
