James graduated from the University of Notre Dame and Georgetown University. He retired from the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) as an attorney. He married Jean Leverone and lived in Cincinnati, OH and in Douglas, MI. They had a son and a daughter and 3 grand children.. Jim loved to read history books, fool with his model trains and sail his boat on Lake Michigan.
