What is SpaceGhostPurrp known for?

Born on April 1, 1991, in Miami, Florida, Markese Money Rolle, professionally known as SpaceGhostPurrp, is an acclaimed American rapper and record producer. SpaceGhostPurrp is an alumni of Everglades High School in Miramar, Florida. Beyond his roots in the U.S., he also has Bahamian and Cuban ancestry.

SpaceGhostPurrp started rapping at just five years old and began producing music at age 13. He founded the American hip-hop group Raider Klan and also co-founded Black Money Boys. He worked with successful Raider Klan members and associates, including the likes of Denzel Curry, Robb Banks, Pouya, Chris Travis, Yung Simmie, and Xavier Wulf. The rapper gained attention in the underground hip-hop scene through mixtapes, producing, and his work with other underground artists. His noteworthiness extended beyond the underground scene as he has produced tracks for famous artists such as Juicy J, Lil Uzi Vert, Wiz Khalifa, Robb Banks, ASAP Mob, and Lil Tracy, among others.

On June 12, 2012, his debut studio album, Mysterious Phonk: Chronicles of SpaceGhostPurrp, was released. Since then, he has released over 60 mixtapes and EPs, earning a reputation for his eccentric and controversial public persona. SpaceGhostPurrp has openly shared that he is on the autism spectrum.

SpaceGhostPurrp, in addition to his music, was known for his avid interest in skateboarding during high school. He channeled his creativity not only into music but also into creating his YouTube channel "Spaceeghostpurrpmj23" on May 23, 2010. The channel features a series of visuals, including Purrped & Chopped songs with 70/80's soul-train aesthetics, and even music videos.

SpaceGhostPurrp decisively shaped the underground hip-hop scene with his work in the Raider Klan, which he formed in 2008 alongside Dough Dough Da Don, Kadafi, Muney Junior, and Jitt. The collective recruited various rap artists including Denzel Curry, Yung Simmie, Nell, Chris Travis, Xavier Wulf, Rell, Amber London, and Key Nyata, among many others.
