| About Me | Went to college 3 or 4 different times (electrical engineering), worked a number of odd jobs including pizza cook, air conditioning repair, nude model, costume maker, Six Flags costumed character, Six Flags assistant stage manager, and a screen printer. I also did a lot of partying. In 1985 I started working in the film and video business doing commercials and industrial videos. By 1989 I had moved to LA and gotten into the special effects business. I did work on Child's Play 2, Mom and Dad Save The World, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3, Honey I Blew Up the Baby, and 15 or 20 other films (I'm in the Internet Movie Database as Richard Cross 2). I had also started my own motion control equipment company called Grey Rat Technologies. Around 2000 I had a fun little breakdown for a bunch of reasons, the primary one being the use of methamphetamines. I ended up living in my van for couple of years until 2003 while in a drug induced state of paranoid psychosis I managed to catch the Van Nuys Police station on fire. I spent a year in jail, was found to be Not Guilty due to reasons of temporary Insanity, and spent a year and a half in a state mental hospital. This last year I've been out on "conditional release". I'll probably file for restoration of my sanity sometime in the next year or so. In the meantime I've gotten back into school figuring I can use this opportunity to pick up an associates degree in computer programming and networking.
