| Favorite School Memory | I loved science classes, I snuck out of PE and I was onery to the algebra teacher. Mr. Aubuchon, our band instructor, had high standards and we met them! |
| About Me | I was a Medical Technologist in blood coagulation research for a year then went to Bethany Hospital as a Med. Tech. I married my husband, Vernon, in his senior year. After he graduated, he had to serve 2 years. We spent time north of Chicago, near San Diego, on Okinawa, and then I had to return home while he served time with the Marines on Okinawa and in Vietnam. He returned and we went to the San Francisco area. After his service he bought a practice in Iola, his home town. Iola has been a good place to live and raise 2 children. I returned to school in the 80's and got a degree in School Psychology. I worked in Burlington, LeRoy, and Gridley, Ks as part of the Coffey County Coop. I loved this career. I listened to lots of books-on-tape as I comuted to school and then a job. We now have a home on Table Rock Lake in MO. so we still drive a lot. My brother, Bill, and his family live in KC. My son, Brendan, is an Edward Jones agent in Wichita and has 2 little boys. My daughter, Heather, and her husband both work for the Peace Corps in DC. We are starting to travel more.
