About	Brian Kevin Varner, age 37, of Candler went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 26, 2009, with his wife and her family by his side. Kevin was born September 20, 1971, in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. Kevin was a faithful servant at Mt. Sheba Baptist Church, where he ran the sound system. A longtime softball coach and player with Crossfire Ministries, his desire with softball was to share the love of God and his personal relationship with his savior, wanting all to come to acceptance of Jesus as their savior. "V Man" was employed with MR Motorcycles for 14 years, being able to share his love for riding and meeting new friends along the way. His love for the Lord, making new friends and joking with all made him the person we loved. Surviving are Kevin's wife of 14 years, Brenda Nash Varner; his parents, Bernis Howell Varner and Louise Wells Varner of Jacksboro, TN; sister, Kathy Varner Jennings and husband Richard of Flat Rock; brother, Keith Varner and wife Kelly of Newberry, SC; several nieces and nephews, and in-laws who loved him and will miss him very much. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2009, in Mt. Sheba Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Rhinehart and Rev. Jamie Johnson of Crossfire officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the services. At other times, the family will be at the home of Luther and Katherine Wolfe, 219 Dula Springs Road, Weaverville, NC 28787. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
