About Me	Since 1972 I was a psychologist working with the mentally challenged. I loved that work because it allowed me to serve those who had little representation for themselves. I truly believe I was able to encourage many people to have a better life. That profession also allowed me to be creative. In fact it pushed me to be more creative than I thought I could be. I loved the creative aspect. Before I retired I knew I would have to find something that would allow me to continue to be creative to be personally content. That creative aspect turned out to be photography. Ten or so years before I retired I picked up a manual 35mm camera my son (Erik) left at our house after he had taken a photography class. After scanning the photography text book that he also left, I went out and bought some film and have not looked back since. I have graduated through several 35mm and digital cameras. I currently use a Pentax K10 D and a Canon G9. Last year I upgraded my lenses to a 17-50mm F/2.8 and a 60-250mm F/4. I photograph anything and every thing, including country music artists, outdoor scenery, animals, pets, balloon festivals, family, etc. If it is different I'll photograph it. I was recently asked to post a photo of an old, old mailbox on a web site for "rusty mailboxes." I didn't realize there was such a thing. I post many of my photos on Flickr.
