| About | Pawnee D. (Carmichael) Weaver August 3,1952 –July 20, 2015 Pawnee D. (Carmichael) Weaver of Vilano Beach, Florida passed away on July 20, 2015. She was born in Miami, Florida on August 3, 1952, and moved to Jacksonville, Florida with her family at an early age. She graduated from Englewood High School in 1970. She married Ben H. Weaver on April 6, 1974 in Jacksonville, Duval County, FL. After living in California and Hawaii for a few years she and her husband, Ben H. Weaver made their home in Jacksonville Beach. In 1986 Pawnee joined the staff of The Beaches Leader as an advertising sales representative, a position she held until 2004, when she opened Pawnee's Fine Wine Cafe and Deli in Ponte Vedra Beach and later moved the business to Vilano Beach. Her husband, Benjamin “Ben” H. Weaver, her parents, Drew Carmichael and Henrietta “Etta” (Hornsby) Carmichael, her brother, Roy Carmichael, and her sister, Melody Denise Carmichael of Jacksonville, predeceased her. Her parents and sister are buried in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL. Sisters, Dee Carmichael of Jacksonville and Deborah Carmichael-Morgan of St. Augustine, nephews, Troy Hallenbeck of Jacksonville Beach and Joe Brown, of Lancaster, South Carolina, survived her. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, at Craig Funeral Home Memorial Park, 1475 Old Dixie Highway, St. Augustine, Florida, followed by a reception at Casa Benedetto's Ristorante, in Vilano Beach, FL. Maternal grandparents: William H. Hornsby (1880-1968) and Julia Henrietta “Etta” (Walden) Hornsby, daughter of Rueben H. Walden and Julia A. one of the sweetest and most caring person i've ever met. she and her brother michael lived on hirsh ave and i lived on emily dr. i would pick her up to go to englewood when i got my first car in april 69. she could light up any space that she was in. i was glad to see that she was successful in st augustine because she always had that artistic flair. tom prescott
