Loye Thomas Christmas, a U.S. Army Private First Class, E-3, Vietnam Veteran, A Company, 1ST Battalion, 5TH INFANTRY, 25TH Infantry Division, was killed January 17, 1964, age 20, in a helicopter crash, taking hostile fire over Phong Dinh Province, South Vietnam.
