| About | ENGLE LESTER JAILLET III Engle Lester Jaillet, III, 66, of Port Orange, a child support analyst for the State of Florida Department of Revenue, Daytona Beach, for 17 years, died Friday, November 19, 2010 at Halifax Medical Center. Mr. Jaillet was born in Jacksonville, FL, June 24, 1944. He had been an area resident of Port Orange and Daytona Beach, Volusia County, FL since 1975, coming from Jacksonville. He played high school football for the Englewood Rams and served as the vice president of his senior class at Englewood High School, Jacksonville, FL, graduating in 1962. While residing in Jacksonville, he and his family attended Glendale Community Church. He received a scholarship to Georgia Technical University in Atlanta, GA. He was an avid Gator football and NASCAR fan and enjoyed cooking, recliner surfing and crossword puzzles. His wife of 46 years, Exum J. (English) Jaillet two daughters, Michelle Jones (Jaillett) Zybura and her husband, Derek Zybura, of New Smyrna Beach and Melissa (Jaillet) Thomas, and her husband, Brian Thomas, of Edgewater, FL, his parents, Engle Lester Jaillet, Jr. and Merle (Webb) Jaillet of Tallapoosa, GA, one brother, John Paul Jaillet and his wife, Lynnette Jaillet, of GA, mother-in-law, Geraldine English of New Smyrna Beach, two granddaughters, Danielle (Himes) Kennard, and her husband, Adam Kennard and Alexis Himes of New Smyrna Beach, one great granddaughter, Kylie Kennard, of New Smyrna Beach, former son-in-law, Mark Himes, of Oklahoma, two nephews, Jason Jaillet and Wesley Jaillet of Atlanta, GA, and many friends survived him. His father-in-law, Hugh English predeceased him. Memorial service was held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Dudley Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach, FL with Rev. Timothy C. McCardel, Pastor, Friendship Community Church, Edgewater, officiating. Cremation was arranged by Dudley Crematory, New Smyrna Beach. Memorial donations may be made to Halifax Humane Society, 2364 LPGA Boulevard, Daytona Beach 32124. Dudley Funeral Home, 1108 N. Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge of arrangements and served the family. 386-428-6414.
