| About Me | I spent 3.5 years in the Philippines as a Peace Corps Volunteer working with farmers, 1975-1979. I moved to New Jersey in 1980 to go to Rutgers grad school where I met the love of my life Stephani on Valentines Day 1980. I left school and became a Teamster for NJ Blood Services for 17 years. During this time we bought a house together, and had a son Max in 1987 and daughter Miriam in 1991. I went back to school nights eventually and received a degree in special education. I began teaching in 1998 and retired in 2018. I taught special ed science, mostly chemistry and earth science. I was the advisor to an Amnesty International club and a Gay Straight Alliance.
