About	Barbara Jane (Buckingham) Schroeder was born in Yuba City, California on October 10, 1923. Passed away in Port Angeles, WA on December 2, 2017 at the age of 94. A longtime resident of Sacramento, Barbara attended Elk Grove High School class '41, worked for the state and the San Juan Unified School District. Survived by children Karen (George) Earwaker, Anita (Bill) Shaw, and Gary (Barbara) Vorous, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by stepsons Jerry (Carol) Schroeder and Randy (Maria) Schroeder and family. Preceded in death by husbands Edward Vorous and Melvin Schroeder and sons Stephen and Edward Francis Vorous. Barbara was an active volunteer at the Widow Persons Association, GFWC North Sacramento Womens Club, Cottage Senior Club, and Carmichael Senior Club, and was a Lifetime Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. There will be a memorial service held on December 13, 2017 at 10AM at St. Marks United Methodist Church at 2391 St. Marks Way, Sacramento.
