About	Born August 25, 1924, in Sacramento, Josephine Baumann passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2017. She was the beloved sister of Sophie ('40) Ghelfi. She was preceded in death by her sisters Ruth and Nellie ('41) , and by her parents Jack and Sophie Baumann. She was the beloved aunt of Pete (Lori) Ghelfi, Jackie Ghelfi, Michael (Lisa) Lewis, and Ed (Christine) Lewis. She was the great-aunt to her "schatzies" Peter and Mikeila Ghelfi. A longtime resident of Elk Grove, Jo worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 40 years. She was dedicated to the support of the community as a volunteer with the Sacramento Mercy Guild (life member), Soroptimist International, Discovery Shop and activities at her parish of St. Joseph. She enjoyed spending time with family; her good nature and laughter will be missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jo's name to Mercy Foundation - 3400 Data Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. A rosary is scheduled at East Lawn Elk Grove Chapel, 9189 East Stockton Blvd on Wednesday, April 5, 2017,at 6:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at St. Joseph's Church, 9961 Elk Grove-Florin Road, on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 10 am, with burial and reception to follow. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
