About	Beloved Mother and Grandmother was born on September 30, 1946 in Sacramento, CA to Albert and Bertalee Truttman. She was raised in Franklin (Elk Grove) attended Franklin Elementary, and graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1964. In 1965, she married Lorin Bivens, Jr. of Sacramento. The two moved to Mt. Shasta, CA where they raised their two children, Jennifer Bivens (Coe) and Jay Bivens. In 2003, she moved back to Elk Grove to care for her aging parents. Upon her return to Elk Grove she became a Farmers Insurance agent and was active in her church, attending bible studies, and volunteering at the local Clothes Closet. Terrie loved the outdoors; camping, traveling, and gardening. She had a talented hand at painting, sewing, and cooking for her family (which brought her great joy). She also enjoyed canning the vegetables that she grew in her gardens. Terrie fought a brave battle with cancer and was taken from us entirely too soon by leukemia. She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Gary) Coe of Dunsmuir, CA, Jay (Koni) Bivens of Mt. Shasta, CA, and her granddaughters, Heather (Kiefer) Williams of Citrus Heights, CA, and Jaimie Coe of Deer River, MN. Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11am at the Evangelical Free Church in Mt. Shasta, CA. In Terrie’s memory, we ask and encourage friends and family to donate blood as she survived for over a year through blood and blood product donations. - Information from the Elk Grove Citizen
