Mark Gardner passed away on Oct. 22, 2016. He was the son of Dick and Stella Gardener. The North Dakota native moved to Elk Grove in 1966 where he attended Pleasant Grove Elementary School and Elk Grove High School. He was an avid outdoorsman who took summer fishing trips to the Ice House Reservoir. He was known for his constant laughter and his enjoyment of being with friends and family.
Gardner was the soul mate of Valerie Miller for 19 great years. His siblings were Ross, Brad, Greg, Scot (Karyn), Jody (Jim), and Ryan (Kim); his children were Russell, Amber, Kristyn, Jason, and David; and his grandchildren were Russell, Braeden, Nathaniel, Robert, Sean, Austin, and Sabella.
A celebration of Gardner’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Nov. 12 at the Mahon Ranch, 10171 Grant Line Road. His family requests no gifts or flowers at this time. - Information from the Elk Grove Citizen
