About	October 22, 1932 - September 10, 2016 Catherine peacefully entered into rest on September 10, 2016 at the age of 83. She was born in Florin, CA to Kouki and Mitsugi Taketa. She is survived by her brother Bill Taketa, his wife Doris, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Albert and his wife Setsuko. She was interned at Manzanar Relocation Center during World War II. After her release from camp, she attended Elk Grove High School and graduated in 1950. Upon graduation she began her career with McClellan Air Force as a clerk GS2. During her career she took advantage of many classes offered by the Air Force. By the time she retired she achieved GS11 as an Engineering Technician. After her retirement she enjoyed many trips with her friends. She actively participated in church functions until her disabilities prevented her from doing her volunteer work. The Taketa Family would like to thank Highfield Senior Care Home and their staff, Maria, Jun, Mira, and Marivic for good care. In lieu of flowers or Koden, remembrances may be made to SJUMC, Improvement Fund, 6929 Franklin Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95823 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
