About	Our beloved daughter, Janielle Dawniene Jenkins, age 45, went to meet the Lord on 9/6/16, after a courageous fight with brain cancer. Born in Sacramento 12/21/70, to parents Gary and Donna Jenkins, she spent her life in Sacramento, attending local schools, graduating from Elk Grove High School in 1989 with a scholarship from Bank of America. Janielle went on to graduate from Sacramento City College with an AA in Business. Janielle was a dedicated employee for the CA Department of Justice. She was recruited to work for the Administration of Governor Gray Davis, staying to work for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Governor Jerry Brown. She rose to the position of Special Assistant to the Governor prior to her disability retirement in April, 2016. Janielle loved her job, and was an inspiration to all who knew her. Janielle's greatest joy was her son, Jacob Kennedy Jenkins. She will be deeply missed by her son and family: parents Gary and Donna; sisters Andrea (Nick) and Tiffany (Moses); nephews Issac, Dominic, Zachary and Moses; niece AbbeyRose; her aunts Nancy (Mark) and Karen; uncles Marvin (Betsy) and Grove, and a large family of beloved cousins and their families. The Jenkins would like to extend heart felt gratitude to their family, especially Nancy, Karen and her daughter Amber; Shirley Moreno-Avery and her daughter Stacy; Kari Kennedy-Ford and her husband, Joe; Governor Brown's Legal and Administration Staff, Cathy Fiski, Kaiser Hospice Case Manager, and their friends for all their prayers and support for Janielle. A Celebration of Life for Janielle will be Friday, 9/16, 11am, at St, Peter's Lutheran Church, 8701 Elk Grove-Florin Rd., Elk Grove, CA. Arrangements by Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes.
