About	Donna Mary Pylman was born in Oakland, California on June 22, 1919 and passed on September 3, 2016 at the age of 97 after a full and wonderful life. Donna was the third daughter of her parents Albert and Isabel Grover and spent her childhood in Elk Grove, California. She graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1937 and then was employed by a state agency for 2 years. She was married to James Pylman in 1939. They farmed on a ranch located on Merritt Island, south of Clarksburg and were married 56 years. She is survived by their three children, Jean and Rod Trask, Gregory and Mary Pylman, Jeffrey and Gale Pylman; grandchildren/ great grandchildren, Robin Trask and her daughter, Tammy and Mike Narkiewicz and 2 sons, Keith Pylman and son, Leah Ericson and son, Katie Pylman; and best friend Richard Chase. She was known as "Nana" by family members. As a child, Donna enjoyed camping and outdoor activities with relatives in the Sierras. As a mother and homemaker she enjoyed sewing knitting, gardening, playing cards with friends, and supporting her children in school and non-school activities. She was involved with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, Rainbow for Girls, and the P.T.A She was also active with P.E.O., Clarksburg Church, La Perita Garden Club, Eastern Star, and a volunteer for the local Cancer dressing stations. Donna is preceded in death by husband of 56 years, James Pylman, and husband of 2 years William Merwin. A memorial service followed by a luncheon is scheduled for October 21, 2016 at 11AM at the Clarksburg Community Church, 52910 Netherlands Ave., Clarksburg, CA 95612. - Information from the Scaramento Bee
