About	Our beloved father, Frank Kawamura passed away surrounded by family on August 30, 2016. Frank was born in Sacramento on September 18, 1935. In 1942, he and his family were relocated to the Poston Internment Camp where they remained until their release in 1945. He graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1953, where he excelled in football and baseball. After his tour in the army, Frank worked in the produce field and retired at the age of 62. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Lily Kawamura, daughter Amy Kawamura, and his parents, Roy S. and Katsuko Kawamura. He is survived by his daughters, Mona Kawamura (Patrick) and Suzan Sae Lee (Lai), grandson Tyler Sae Lee, siblings Harry Kawamura, Connie Okino (Sets), Elaine Nakahara, Stanley Kawamura (Janet), and Jane Abe (Robert) and numerous nephews and nieces. Family and friends are invited to the memorial service on Saturday, September 10, at 1:00 PM, at Mayhew Community Baptist Church, 3401 Routier Road, Sacramento. The attire is casual; attendees are encouraged to dress in Sacramento Kings colors, just as Frank would have wanted. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
