About	Patricia Y (LaPann) Lewis, a native of Elk Grove and resident of Sacramento and Folsom, CA died January 5, 2016 at the age of 77. She was born November 7, 1938 in Elk Grove, CA. The only child of Dorothy Rhoades LaPann. Patricia attended and graduated from Elk Grove High school in 1956. She attended American River College and worked for the State of California as a training officer. She retired from the State and moved to Folsom, CA to be closer to her family. Pat was passionate about two things in her life. Camping was one of them. She once traveled the Alaskan Highway, by herself, for over a month. She spent much of her retired years traveling, cruising and camping with friends and family. Her biggest passion was her family. Pat loved to be with her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. A lot of her retirement years were spent attending various sporting events and competitions of her grandchildren. Pat was an avid quilter. Her first handmade quilt was made for her grandson back in 1989. Since then she went on to master her craft and has made beautiful quilts that she took much joy in giving to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Before quilting her hobbies were genealogy, miniatures and scrapbooking. She was an excellent seamstress, hand making her granddaughters first communion gowns, daughter in laws maternity clothes, sons school clothes and a handmade quilt for each grandchild upon graduation from high school. She was a member of the Elk Grove Historical Society and longtime supporter of the National and State Parks programs. She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Rieger of Wilton, CA and Joe and wife Shawna Lewis of Shingle Springs, CA. Five grandchildren, Joey and wife Bethany, Nick, Alyssa and husband Mitchell, Leslie and Sara. Two and a 1/2 great grandbabies, Jaxon, Caden and soon to arrive Walker. Her remains were cremated with a private service scheduled in the near future. Memorial gifts may be made to the Elk Grove Historical Society. - Information from the Elk Grove Citizen
