About	Published: Wednesday, September 30, 2015 3:00 PM PDT Faron Rieger, born and raised in Elk Grove, passed away at home on Sept. 21, 2015 from cancer. He was 56. Faron was born Oct. 20, 1958 and attended school from kindergarten through high school in the Elk Grove Unified School District. He was an artist and musician, known for his beautiful woodwork, ceramics and drawings. His family said that he had a gift for making people feel good about themselves and cheering them up. Faron was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Rieger. He leaves his mother, Evelyn Rieger, his sister, Dora Coalwell and husband Bruce, and his two nephews, Bryce (Monica) and Seth (Alysa). At his request there are no services. His ashes will be spread at sea in Port Orford, Oregon. Faron’s family extends their deep appreciation for the compassionate care of Dr. Kim, Dr. Osborn, Mercy Hospice and especially Pam. - Information from the Elk Grove Citizen
