About	GROSZ, Herb Born on April 16, 1934, Herb peacefully passed away on April 20, 2015. He lived most of his life in the Elk Grove area. He graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1952 and married his high school sweetheart, Darlene Idzinga. After serving 4 years in the US Air Force, he returned to Elk Grove and opened East Side Barbershop on Elk Grove Blvd. Pursuing his love for cars, he went into car sales during the 70's. Years of walking the lot drew his attention to the value of great parking lots and he opened Ampro Asphalt Paving Company until his retirement in 1993. Herb enjoyed many athletic hobbies during his life: golf, tennis, racket ball, and bowling to name a few. He had a zest for life and was often the life of the party. Survived by Darlene Grosz, his loving wife of 62 years; his son, Stan Grosz; his daughter, Mary Bull; his daughter-in-law, Shelly Grosz; and his four grandchildren, Victor Bull (Amy), Samantha Grosz, Sullivan Grosz (Erin), and Noah Bull. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Nettie Grosz; and his brother, Eugene Grosz. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Elk Grove Regional Park Pavilion. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice .
