About	Born March 1932 in Florin, CA. Alice passed away peacefully on December 15, 2014 at Asian Community Nursing Home. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; Frank & Yaeno Takahashi, and siblings Yo (Misuko) Takahashi (Torrance) and Amie (Tom) Fujimoto. Alice is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Fred; brother Tom Takahashi; sisters Fran (Ken) Yokota & Terry (Eddie) Yokoyama; step-daughters Carol (Norman Fujitaki) & Karen (Jeff Hunts); and many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren in California, Nevada and Washington, D.C. Alice was raised on her parents' vineyard in Florin, CA. In May 1942, her family was interned at Manzanar, and in August 1945 the family returned to Florin where she graduated from Elk Grove High School and Healds Business College. After a career spanning 17 years in the private sector and 26 years of state service, Alice retired from the California State Lottery in 1992. Her primary interest outside of work was bowling. She bowled in two leagues a week, competing in monthly Nisei tournaments throughout California, as well as national annual tournaments across the country. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 21, at the Sacramento Buddhist Church. In lieu of koden, remembrances may be donated to the Asian Community Nursing Home or a non-profit of your choice. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
