Danny died of cancer at home, surrounded by his family and friends.
Dan was born on September 20, 1956 in Santa Rosa, but grew up in Elk Grove. He graduated from Elk Grove high school in 1974 and married Helen Schendel (EGHS '76) on September 15, 1979. They had two children, Son Austin is married to Sansa and they have twins daughters, Sible and Kiahna and live in Utah. Daughter Jessica lives in Sacramento and works for the Franchise Tax Board. They will all truly miss him Dan.
A private memorial service was held for family and close friends on October 7 at 2:00 pm at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary Chapel. A celebration of Dan's life was held at family friend Nicki (Bettencourt) Marshall's residence in West Sacramento on October 18, 11:00 am.
