About	In Sacramento on September 17, 2014. Loving husband of Jacqueline Winter of Elk Grove. Beloved father of Gail, Greg, Gary and Gerald. Devoted brother of Leroy Winter. He also had a very special sweet spot for his 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A native of Orland, California and an Elk Grove resident for the past 60 years. He was an avid supporter of racing and fishing and had over 10,000 hours of flight instruction time in the Elk Grove community. He was a USAF veteran serving during WWII. He also served as past president of Rotary International. Aged 88 years. Friends are welcome to attend memorial services on Sunday September 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary Chapel, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd. in Elk Grove, Ca. Inurnment will be private in the East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
