Born in Sacramento, graduated Elk Grove High School, and interned in Jerome Arkansas. Predeceased by husband Sam and nephew Gary Yamamoto. Survived by sons Mel (Marsha) and Gerald (Diane), grandchildren Brandon, Nikki (Clint) Taura, Brooke, and Lisa (John) Balinsat, great-grandchildren Jocelyn and Jacob Balinsat, brother Mits (Jayne) Yamamoto, and nieces Diane (Lester) Nakao, Debbie Yamamoto, Ginny (Robert) Syphax, and Glenna Madeiros.
