About	Published: Friday, June 6, 2014 1:09 PM PDT Florence Aileen Fandrich, a native of Elk Grove and lifelong resident of the area, died June 3, 2014 at the age of 85. Mrs. Fandrich was born Feb. 25, 1929 to Jack and Katheryn Kammerer and grew up in Elk Grove, graduating from Elk Grove High School in 1946. She went to work for the Department of Motor Vehicles before transferring to the California Highway Patrol where she spent 37 years as an analyst in the CHP headquarters in Sacramento before retiring. Florence Kammerer and Art Fandrich were married Oct. 25, 1947, and made their home in Elk Grove and south Sacramento. Mrs. Fandrich enjoyed traveling, both with family and with friends. She especially enjoyed several cruises with her children. “She was deeply loved by the entire family,” her son Randy said. She was preceded in death by her husband, and by her daughter, Judy Long. Mrs. Fandrich is survived by her children, Diane Stayton and husband Mark of Sacramento, Randy Fandrich and wife Diane of Elk Grove, and Gail Renschler and husband Roger of Olympia, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Robert Kammerer and wife Fern of Elk Grove. Friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday, June 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. and Monday, June 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, 9189 East Stockton Blvd. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 10 at 10 a.m. also at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary.
