About	''Brucie'' beloved son and father, born September 14, 1955 and died May 11, 2014. Bruce loved life, his family and his two sons Bruce Jr and Joe. Bruce holds a special place in his heart for his granddaughter, Emily. As a retired school bus driver for Elk Grove Unified School District he touched the lives of many students and will be remembered for his conta gious laugh and a generous heart. Brucie passed away peacefully at his home in Somerset, Cali fornia unexpectedly. He is sur vived by his two sons Bruce Merrill Jr. and Joe Merrill. Also survived by his parents Ed and Donna Merrill and sib lings Mark, Craig, Eric, Lynette, Keith, and Ellen. Graveside services to be held June 3 at 11:30 am at St Patrick's Cemetery in Placerville, Califor nia. A celebration of his life following the service in Pollock Pines at the parent's residence. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
