About	Jan. 12, 1923 - Mar. 30, 2014 Born in Florin, California, and predeceased by parents Yoshisuke and Misa (Ikeshita) Kashiwagi, brother Paul, and sisters-in-law Kiyoko, and Betty. Survived by brothers William, Sam, George (Amiko), sister Natsuko (Ian), sister-in-law Sue, and many nieces and nephews. Masao graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1942, and was interned at Tule Lake, California, before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he waited to be drafted into the Army. During WWII Masao was with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team in Italy. After his military service, Masao became a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service where he worked for 30+ years. He was a member of the Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church, Wakayama Kenjin Kai, the Nisei VFW Post 8985, and the National Association of Letter Carriers Camellia Branch. His hobbies were golfing and gambling, and he enjoyed watching TV and eating out. A memorial service for Masao will be held at the Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church located at 6929 Franklin Bl., Sacramento, CA, on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. Reception to follow after the service. - Information from the Sacramento bee
