A lifelong Sacramento resident, passed away April 27 at his home in Folsom, CA of natural causes.
He was born on October 6, 1937 in Laredo Texas one of three brothers. He attended Elk Grove H.S., Sacramento State and was a Master Army Sergeant in the Army National Guard where he received many accolades and metals. He worked from 1971-1984 and retired in 1984. He had a real love for gardening and always had a 'Sunset Garden' backyard. He loved to visit antique stores and events looking for the next 'BIG ' treasure.
He will be missed by all for his great sense of humor and his infectious laugh.
He is survived by his loving partner of 43 years, Ben Smith, Mama Grace Smith, daughter Janelle Hawley, grandchildren Lana and Layne and his faithful dogs Crystal and Milly.
Memorial service to be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 11am at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 307 Montrose Drive, Folsom, CA. Reception to follow services in the Garden Room. Everyone is invited. - Information from the Sacramento Bee
