About	SCOTT, Phyllis Joan Aged 80, of Sacramento, CA, died Monday, March 24, 2014, from complications due to multiple myeloma, a form of bone cancer. She was born March 23, 1934, in Florin, CA to the late John and Florene Faria. She attended Elk Grove High School, and Sacramento City College. As a young adult, Phyllis was employed briefly by the Foreign Service State Department in Washington D.C. and served in the U.S. Navy, but she returned to CA to be nearer her family. From 1958 to 1979 she was married to Charles Breaw, raised their two sons, Les and Chris, and worked for Standard Oil Company. In 1985, she married Bobby Scott, earned her pilot's license, and enjoyed flying about the country with him in their home-built Vari-Eze airplane. Phyllis was also an avid gardener, a gourmet cook, and enjoyed swing dancing. Most notably, Phyllis was a woman of delightful humor, charm, and grace that could make a stranger feel at home, and her family and friends feel treasured always. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Scott and son, Les Breaw; and survived by her son, Chris Breaw, and her stepdaughter, Debra Griffin. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, April 3, at Bible Fellowship Baptist Church, 9900 Horn Road, Rancho Cordova. - The Sacramento Bee
